Service and Installation Technician

Our growth over the past few years, especially in the South Island has seen us invest more into this region with the opening of a new warehouse based in Christchurch. As such, we are expanding our team in the South Island to further support this growth.
As a Life Fitness Service and Installation Technician, you will be cruising around the South Island, hitting up gyms big and small to service and install our fitness equipment. Every day will bring something new, and our enjoyable and hard-working team ensures a workplace filled with productivity and camaraderie.
This is a hands-on role and demands the use of various tools for servicing and assembling the equipment. Therefore you must be familiar and competent using a range of tools. To be part of our installation crew, you should also have the following skills:
- A strong level of fitness is essential, as the role involves heavy lifting, moving and carrying.
- Enjoy the process of building and working with tools.
- Be mechanically minded and enjoy servicing work.
- Demonstrate initiative and drive to tackled tasks independently and as part of a team.
- Bring friendly vibes whilst keeping it professional.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
It would be advantageous to also have the following licences, however full training will be provided to the right candidate:
- Class 2 or Forklift Licence.
- EAS (Electrical Appliances Serviceperson) Licence.
Since our clients are scattered throughout the country, expect some overnight travel, however the majority will be based within the South Island. The upside is that you get to explore our beautiful country, hitting up major fitness spots, sports hangouts, schools, universities and hotels.

Refurbishment Technician
The Company

The Opportunity
Our Life Fitness Refurbishment Department takes second-hand fitness equipment and gives it a second life. We strip, replace, repaint and rebuild to create a near-new piece of equipment. Due to high demand, we are looking to grow and expand this specialist department and are recruiting for a Refurb Technician. This role will be a mix of mechanical and electrical work and is a very hands-on and rewarding role.
As part of our Refurbishment Team you will do;
- Sanding, welding and wiring
- Spray painting in our purpose-built spray booth
- Replacement of perishable parts and key components as required
- Console testing
- Circuit boards strip down and testing
- Dissemble equipment in preparation for refurbishment
- Reassemble equipment
- Ensuring that all quality control checks have been completed thoroughly and accurately according to company procedures and standards
- Completing all refurbishments to the highest standards at all times

Warehouse Support

You’ll find our team out there playing in gyms, on bikes, and on the water.
The Opportunity
Life Fitness NZ operate a busy warehouse in Hamilton. Our warehouse team are a crucial part of our business ensuring that our equipment is received and dispatched in a timely manner.
Due to growth in the business we are currently building a large extension to our current warehouse, which is at capacity, to accommodate our growing stock. Therefore we need additional warehouse staff to ensure this department can run effectively and efficiently. We are looking to fill a couple of roles:
- Warehouse Supervisor (5+ years’ experience required)
- Warehouse Assistant (2+ years’ experience required)
The role will be a mixture of imports, exports and local freight, therefore we need a cohesive team that can work together and juggle multiple jobs in the most efficient manner.
Responsibilities include
- Manage incoming shipments including international and local freight
- Pick, pack and coordinate pick-up or shipping of orders
- Unload and loading of containers
- MPI management on imports and exports
- Stock and inventory control
Are you the right fit?

- Attention to detail and a “do it once, do it right” mentality
- Ability to work autonomously and cohesively as part of a team
- The ability to work juggle multiple jobs at once efficiently

- Full drivers licence
- Forklift experience and licence is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate
- Physically fit and strong, as much of our pick and pack stock is 20kg or more and requires hand loading
- Receiving inwards goods and dispatching of outwards goods
- Class 2 truck licence is preferred but not essential
- AP and TFO is preferred but not essential

Videographer (Visual Storyteller)

The Opportunity
Our marketing team is seeking an experienced Videographer who is ready to hit the ground running! Based in Hamilton, you will join our top-performing team that is passionate about promoting our products.
As our Videographer you will plan, film and edit videos and photos for our suite of brands. There are also various events to attend and document. Some travel around NZ will be required along with some weekend work.
There is plenty of scope to let your creativity shine with our range of products. Videos and photos will be shared locally in NZ and have been recognised internationally by our brands. Our marketing team is leading the way in our industries and this role is your chance to jump aboard and continue this momentum.
As part of our marketing team you will
- Plan, manage and create innovative and engaging video stories to support our brands and marketing initiatives
- Work with internal teams and external clients when doing shoots on location
- Document events with video, photos and interviews
Are you the right fit?

Skills:

- Interpreting a brief to capture video and then edit it into a cohesive story that fulfils the task
- A portfolio or show reel of work to show your skills and experience
- Being flexible, adaptable and willing to take on a wide range of tasks
- Initiative and ability to identify opportunities
- Excellent time management to juggle multiple jobs
