HAMMER STRENGTH
Hammer Strength Plate Loaded Belt Squat
Originally built for elite athletic performance, the Hammer Strength Belt Squat has become a staple in commercial training facilities for its ability to load heavy, move explosively, and reduce spinal stress. With a natural, user-defined path of motion, it replicates barbell squats without compression, allowing athletes to drive maximum force through the legs while maintaining an upright posture.
Our Belt Squat machine delivers on all fronts from max-effort strength to explosive power to joint-friendly lower-body training. Built to our unmatched durability standards and packed with features to increase resistance and variety, it’s a must-have for serious lower-body development.

More Weight, Less Strain
Unlike machines that enforce a fixed movement, our Belt Squat follows a natural, user-defined path, mimicking the barbell squat while keeping the load off the back. Athletes can push maximum loads without experiencing the compression or restraints of a barbell squat. Our intentional design makes it the preferred choice for heavy leg training, offering uncompromised performance.
Perform Weighted Dips
With the optional dip attachment, our Belt Squat transforms into a fully integrated dip station that bolts directly onto the machine, providing high-impact dip training without taking up extra floor space. No need for a separate dip bar or rack attachment—just pure, weighted dip training in a compact, efficient setup.

FAQ
How does the locking mechanism work?
The Belt Squat features a gravity-released locking mechanism that automatically falls away as the athlete begins their squat. This allows for a smooth, uninterrupted start to the lift without the need for additional adjustments or disengagement. To re-engage, simply pull back at the top of your squat.
Why does the Belt Squat have both XL and small weight rods?
The two XL weight rods are positioned further from the pivot point, creating a heavier perceived resistance, while the two smaller weight rods are closer to the pivot, making the load feel lighter. This setup isn’t just about total weight—it’s about how the weight is applied. Loading the smaller rods allows for a more responsive resistance, making it ideal for explosive reps and dynamic movements. Meanwhile, stacking plates on the XL rods delivers maximal loading for heavy strength work. This versatility lets athletes fine-tune their training for both power and endurance within the same machine.
Can the Belt Squat replace barbell squats?
While it’s not a complete substitute for barbell squats, the Belt Squat delivers serious lower-body strength development without spinal compression. It’s an excellent weighted squat alternative for athletes managing back issues, recovering from injury, or looking to add more volume without additional axial loading.
Does the dip attachment store away?
Yes—simply flip the dip attachment towards the back of the machine to store it away or flip it forward to start doing some stable dips.
